Cowboys in Watercolor
In all cases with the images you will see in "Watercolor" a pen and ink drawing was done first... then printed on special watercolor paper and then painted in watercolor. Because the pen and ink vellum is so slick and transparent, the vellum itself cannot be watercolored... BUT... in some cases... as in the pen and ink of James Garner, "Let the Good Times Roll", I have done a 3 part process... 1) The pen and ink on vellum 2) a painting on the back of the translucent vellum in heavy colors so it shows through... 3) a pastel on the front side to enhance the color... So in essence, you have a pen and ink, a painting and a pastel in the same artwork. I will show you in the next pages others where I have done this same process. It gives it a more 3d look.
These images are available in 11"x 14"., 16" x 20" and 20" x 30" PHOTOART. .. when applicable. You will see that the size offered here is 16" x 20". It is a common frame size and frames are available everywhere, so you don't have to custom frame.
Many times the originals are for sale in 18" x 24" size.

Cowboys in Watercolor 3... also has some special features in the artwork. Again, "Stagecoach A Comin'" and "God Bless The Buckaroo" is using the 3 part process that I spoke of on Cowboys in Watercolor 1. "God Bless The Buckaroo" is a small piece custom framed to 11" x 14". "Stagecoach A Comin' " is a very large pen and in framed and is over 5' long and very impressive. Also available on Cowboys in Watercolor 3 is 18" x 24" original watercolor on acid free stock for $149. Gene Autry and Champion is actually an 18" x 24" oil painting and so is "The Duke" in Monument Valley.
